Zhengzhou Water Engineering Company, a Class I enterprise for overall contracting of municipal public works construction in China, is mainly engaged in the construction of works such as municipal water supply and drainage, gas pipes, professional fire fighting facilities, electric equipment installation, and industrial and civil building engineering as well as research, development and production of pipes and their parts.
The company has been engaged in municipal works construction for more than 40 years. Along with two branch companies, Huayu Water and Electricity Installation Company and the Water Supply and Drainage Installation Company and 10 engineering groups. It has a staff of 1392, of which 1066 are contracted employees. About 29.97 per cent of the staff is technical and professional personnel. The total assets of the company are 160.87 million RMB. The fixed assets are 58.6760 million RMB and the registered capital is 45.86 million RMB. It has 768 advanced large facilities with equipment; such as underground non-excavating pipeline push bench (K4-6030 horizontal directional drill made in America), cranes, excavators and so on. Its annual construction capability is 0.2 billion RMB. The company passed the ISO 9000 Quality System Certification in November 2000. This certification was conferred by the China Quality Assessment Center, China Investigation and Statistics Agent and ZhongHua Construction newspaper as an AAA enterprise, the top honor in the professional construction field.
The company can conduct international business with the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Economics and Trade of the People’s Republic of China. Based on its scientific management, well-equipped construction facilities, high standards of management regulations and its good reputation the company has undertaken 15 water supply works, such as Zhengzhou Shiyuan Water Treatment Plant (400,000m/day), Zhengzhou Baimiao Water Treatment Plant (300,000m/day), Zhengzhou Shifo Water Treatment Plant (100,000m/day) and the Zhengzhou Well Water Works Treatment Plant (50,000m/day) over the past decades. Overall, the Water Engineering Company has completed construction and reconstruction of over 1300 kilometers of water supply systems.
